As a busy working mother, I often turn to blogs these days. If I’m looking for recipe ideas or technology advice or some parenting stories, the blogosphere has it all. And I love reading peoples stories, their advice and looking at scrumptious food shots. When building our new home, I was investigating different companies, different brands and different systems for the security for our home in Melbourne. I thought I’d share what I found.

Many security companies around Melbourne offer, what you would assume to be, similar products. Before all the research, that’s exactly what I thought I’d find – companies offering the basic system, the middle and maybe the expensive version. But who knew there are so many brands, so many systems and so many installation processes available. I became a little overwhelmed and confused about who to go with, what to get, what I needed.

I spoke with a company called VIP Alarms. They are a family owned business and they have long been in the industry, which is reassuring. They are friendly, and importantly, extremely knowledgeable on all their products.

I went in asking for an alarm system for my new home, and they were more than happy to discuss with me what would be the most suitable for my space. They explained the ins and outs and running of the system and spoke about the different security camera systems that were also available.

I was very impressed with the service I received and the products and excellent brands they offered. The installation process went to the time frame and the budget was kept.

Even though, it’s not the biggest deal to some, security in this day in age is so important, I feel. All the precious belongings, materialistic and sentimental, in our homes are worth so much, and I would just hate to deal with loosing it all. Installing this system is reassuring and makes me feel I’ve done all I can, to protect my family and our possessions.

I’m not one of those girls who sit outside the same cafe every morning and order the same coffee in the same seat at the same time. I’m not that obsessed with coffee however I am always interested in the coffee I am drinking because I have a very obscure taste. I like the coffee beans that my coffee originates from to be mostly from Columbia because of how strong the taste is.

 Only a matter of weeks ago it seems as though I have found a new friend in Ciscos Coffee. I live in the south-eastern suburb of Caulfield but my work is in Elsternwick. I was walking to my office after parking my car and walked past a cafe with the branding of Ciscos Coffee on the banner outside.

I deviated from my regular plan and decided to get a coffee from this cafe. I am not joking when I say this but this was the best coffee Melbourne has ever given me. It was hot, strong and so nice on the tongue that I had to order another one. I immediately turned into a coffee connoisseur and started asking the staff about where they got their coffee from and wanted to find out some more details. All the man did was point out to the banner outside that said Ciscos Coffee. It all made sense!

As soon as I go to my computer at work I went on the Ciscos Coffee website and researched the exact origin of all their coffee and after talking to the staff member I realised that the coffee beans roasted into my coffee originated from Columbia.

Now you understand why I am in love with Columbian coffee beans!

Coffee is a huge part of my day and I wasn’t convinced with the coffee I was getting at my old cafe so it was time for a change. The change was made and now I have found my coffee place for as long as I have this job!

After the seminar had finished I decided to have a chat with the people that ran it and to ask them if they normally get such a receptive response to their classes they run. Unsurprisingly, they said 95% of classes and seminars they run have positive feedback and often companies repeat their visits to WorkPro. I can see exactly what he means by the repeat visits because I will be taking my staff there at least once a year. It is so refreshing to take my staff away for a day from the workplace and give them a bit of a different insight into what is expected of them at the workplace. I forgot the names of the designers and builders but I would like to extend my thanks to them and to the whole team at the Perennial Kitchens. Not only have they made my kitchen look like a dream come true but it is now the official centrepiece of our house. I really cannot thank them enough for giving me exactly what I wanted and at such a good price.
